Dratted Condo deal fell through. New one in the works thoug. Keep fingers crossed folks and hopefully I shall be back again soon, I hope.
Finished a page and made 2/3 the way through another. I actually managed to get some drawing done maricle of maricles. Hpefully I can keep up the pace although my job promises this week to do it's damdest to derail those plans.
Todays picture is the design page for the Chembran infantry uniforms. The uniforms up top I decided not to use in favor of the uniforms you see the soldier in on the bottom. I am thinking of using the uniform with the crossed scarves as the Ayre cavalry uniform, but that is a long way down the road to consider.
Anyhow. the Ayre uniforms I showed last week are olive green in color with blue cummerbunds and white trousers. The Chembrians have blue coats and shakkos, red cross scarves, gold epilettes and stitching and white trousers. The Chembrians, posessing more money than the Ayres, along with the large textile mills of the country, tend to be more flashy in their uniforms than the Ayres. Its not shown in the scale here but the uniforms have extensive decorative stitching and the officers uniforms are very gaudy. This is what is to be expected of the time period where uniforms showed the wealth and prestige of the country in question. A country that had spare money to spend on frilly uniforms tended to flaunt it as a statement not to mess with it.
I am running out of pictures. Need to get this hiatus over soon. Thank you to all the folks who keep checking back. My web page stats say that the number of hits has stayed constant during the hiatus as during the comic run. Hopefully this means I am keeping things at least remotely interesting. And I know there wll be someone to see the comic once it starts back up again. Thank you again for your support.
